Uk Insurance, I cant seem to find a taker. Who do you guys use for a 365 day policy, and what sort of price for a clean bill of health record for a 40+ driver (by the way that's not a bust measurement)

I use MSM who cover quite a few Ultima.
There has been some discussion only a while ago so a search may be worthwhile as I believe another, cheaper, company has been found by some.

Hi Simon, are you sure you are not confussing British Pounds with British BHP (I thought that 420 was your power output, as mine is an AS engine the insurance if a lot higher wink )!!! That is pretty cheap, did you find now you are on the wrong side of 40 that it has got cheaper!!! I too am 40 + a small amount so I am hoping for a good quote come April. Cheers.

Yep. Good for me too. The trackday cover swung it from footman james to Hegarty for me.

I think you'll find your postcode makes more difference than your age. I'm 40+ and I moved from a country village in one county to a town location in another. My insurance went up £400 and that also applied to other companies I got quotes off. I haven't moved to Beirut but it felt like it when I got the new insurance.

Was with Footman James until the renewal when they tried to Stiff me for an extra £100 on the renewal, now with Hegarty who are really switched on and £70 cheaper than my original price with Footman b4 the renewal. These guys know the cars and are realy friendly and apreciate your buisness. So now it is Hegarty every time.

A couple of those listed wanted a Cat 1 alarm. If you have the standard factory fitted jobbie, like me, then you are restricted somewhat.

I'm with Classic Line (also based in Hinckley btw)

Hagarty have a great twist as well, best price but also, you can drive fully comp ANY other car insured with them... (with the owners permission of course!)

Bolton is Beirut Glyn! biglaugh

Try Competition car insurance (Wayne) . He did a great deal for me at 420 for 6K miles a year. They can also cover you for trackdays, and racing cover as well. They never asked what engine was in there btw

If I remember correctly the top 3 are in order, not sure about the rest! Why?

I'm with MSM, which from your list, had the potential to be the most expensive.

Don't touch Adrian Flux with a bargepole, still arguing with "their" insurance company over my tree incident from a year ago, and only had an amazingly crap letter back from them saying that they were glad to have been helpful to me, B*****ds. Quick enough to take the money, but F-all use in a claim. With Hagerty's now, pleased with the price too.
