Interesting video of Herman Lang driving the Nurburgring Nordschleife in a Mercedes Benz W125, commented by Graham Hill. smile

I wonder what Doug Nye and David Wegeulin think when they see excerpts from their video series "Motorfilms Qaurterly" appearing on YouTube.

Jungles - yes. Doug and Dave has spent the last four or five years trawling through motor industry and motor racing archives to unearth the most amazing stuff. It is a labour of love for the two of them and the films they find are often truly remarkable. They also spend some time digitally cleaning up the footage so that they look their best.

I have about 15 of the tapes/DVDs and they are excellent.

This is just great.
My first visit to the Ring was 1966 and that's pretty much as I remember it; hedges everywhere.
Graham Hill was one of the funniest men I've ever meet. I couldn't imagine a tight run GP team with Eric Morcombe in charge.
Must say, the quality of this sort of stuff on YouTube is fantastic. Take a look at the Birmingham street races.

I think they could be seeing this excerpt as a good preview to their DVD/videos, I wonder how many more people will now by looking up the full video/DVD and buying it. I for one had never heard of this one and now it's made me find it and consequently look at all the other titles they have. My debit card will be in use later.

Quite right. YouTube is a double edged sword. At the moment it is a good "word of mouth" promotional tool. As internet TV gets better quality and download times become instant, then there may be more of a problem.

As I said, DN and DW have obtained the footage of original masters wherever possible and digitally cleaned them up as well. It is an excellent series and highly recommnded.
