Heidfeld On-Board Footage at Nordschleife

Remember last year when Nick Heidfeld piloted the BMW F1 car around the Nordschleife? He wasn't going for a record and the publicity stunt forced him to slow down a lot. To make things worse, the official video footage was hardly adequate.

Well, I've found this video on YouTube, showing nearly 6 minutes of onboard footage. It's actually a collage of onboard footage from three laps, but it's better than nothing.

He's doing a fair rate of clicks! Beware the bumps! I'd love to see him go for a record on this track with an F1 car.

Yes, it's a good clip that, thanks for posting. Nick was taking it so easy but I can understand why. I'd guesstimate that a current F1 car could put in something in the mid 5 minutes and spank bellof's record. But sadly it ain't gonna happen...
