Do people sell their Ultima's so soon after finishing them?

I see another GTR has appeared in the ads that was only finished in April?

Great for residuals - not.

Maybe for some the fun's to be had in the building of, rather than the driving of.

Perhaps they're now looking for the next challenge?

Maybe they start off thinking they can build one on a budget for 20k, then have to remortgage the house to finish it properly - they have to sell before the bailiffs come round!

I can see the fun of building, but doesn't that sort of defeat the object?

You make the ultimate (sic) supercar - then get shot of it before you can really enjoy it?

If you get a kick out of building cars then I'd say that there are a lot more challenging and rewarding projects out there. Personally, scratch building a Locost gives more satisfaction than building the Ultima. Although, the driving experiences are incomparable.

Still, each to their own.

Must admit, i also wondered why ppl sell these motors with less than a couple of thousand miles on them, after spending LONGER building it than driving it.
It worries me.

Don't worry to much Me and Andy intend to build second car's, but maybe build them as and when we can afford to, i.e. not paying the bank manager and actualy owning them instead. Plus have collected many parts for second car. Plus you can do alot of things different to the second car, things you thought to late to change on the first, all those chassis mods by our canadian friend, for example.

The Second car will always be better than the first. Practice makes perfect.

Seems to me that people are trying to make a fast buck...

Careful, or no-one want your first attempt as it's not as good as the next one will be????
