Did you know that MacWorld plays host to the largest concentration of polar necks anywhere on earth?

As expected there is the iPhone update that leaked a few weeks ago, few tweaks here and there.

iTunes movie rentals, all major studios on board.

In the US, for now. Lets hope the UK release is a little less disappointing than when they released online movie purchases, for Pixar films only frown

Yeah, international release is later in the year.

I think the rental aspect is easier to deal with than downloads for purchase, they seem to have always had contract problems with brining that over here.

Whats the point, its the same footprint as the macbook but thinner. How strong will it be? Remember all the failed ibook G3's and G4's? The shell was too weak and allowed the logic board to flex. One large chip (ATI video chip) would break its solder joints with the flexing.

I wonder if the "superdrive" will work with other Mac laptops?

Bit on the pricey side I guess, starting at £1119. Nice bit of kit though. I prefer the MacBook/Apple Wireless keyboard style keys rather than the traditional keys on my MacBook Pro, so I'm glad they've gone with that.

Ability to 'borrow' another Macs optical drive is a nifty feature and gets around the installing software problem neatly.

I like it, its not for me as I prefer my MacBook Pro as a full size laptop, but yet again top quality industrial design which you just have to admire.

I think the MacBook Air looks quite well priced really. If you look at the spec and compare to anything else that size.. well there isn't anything else! Now I just need to find an excuse to buy one!

I already have the 1.1.3 iPhone update, you need to make sure you have good reception to get the Google Maps location to work, but other than that everything's great.

Looking forward to updating my Apple TVs now!

Yes, its certainly pricey. So it had better be well built for that money. Im not sure the ram is expandable either? (No ram options on the store page) But the bundled 2gb is pretty decent anyway.
Plus that HD.. 1.8" iPod style drive.. So its not going to be fast at all. So Hurray for the solid state drive option! and Boo! to its £639 price tag.. Yes really. So a 1.8ghz MacBookAir with ssd drive is £2k. Thats not loose change is it..
Plus, as i just said in another thread, an even diddier version wouldn't go amis.. Like 11" or less perhaps.

Still, as Borat would say.. "Its Nice!"

A little underwhelmed by the Air to be honest. I think the price is hard to justify over a Macbook with faster processor, optical drive and more disk space.

However, over the moon with this little update:

I reckon it won't be long before someone figures out a hack to get the weblinks on springboard. I've got my fingers crossed as it will be a while before I'll be updating my iPhone to 1.1.3.....

Looks cool though, I have to say.
