Eric, Do you know of the top of your head how long a companies details stay registered with Companies House (webcheck) after the company has been closed down?
What type of details. It is possible to go back years, we often go back to 1982 to get info for current companies, but once on the registers it is not removed IIRC
Maybe there are other types of searches you can do on "struck off" or dissolved comapnies. Certainly,, the internet based list of companies does only seem to retain dissolved companies on the list for a fixed period of time.
Too long! Some bugger just took my details from my old company and applied for a credit card. Luckily they had used the same computer before and the applications was questioned!
