Rob,

You obviously have excellent taste in cars, not quite identical, as I'm sure that yours can't have as many stone chips as I've got, or the gauges in the front spoiler.

Only had it three months, but have managed to put nearly two thousand miles on the clock. Managed to lose the back end within the first couple of weeks (at Bruntingthorpe.... no-one told me I'd have to get round a few bends). However since then the handling under power has been pretty predictable and neutral. My main gripe is with the awful brakes, first noticed at B'thorpe, but also had my passenger in cold sweats on the trip to Le Mans. Basically, it won't brake in a straight line when coming down from big speeds, it sways offline by a few feet and is quite unnerving, although have got used to it and it's not every day that you get anywhere near the speeds at which this becomes evident. I guess at the end of the day, I've been spoilt by 911 brakes in the past, and the Diablo isn't exactly a light car.

Also got sports exhaust, which is p!ssing my neighbours off immensely. I'd like to get some db readings to see just how loud it is!

I can highly recommend a day at Bruntingthorpe, hopefully CRAIGW is going to do the honours in the next few months, and would be good to see another Diablo there.

How about putting some photo of yours on your profile. Have you had it long? I assume you like it!?

Hey Tony!

You may recall we went on the Central London Tunnel run together - Manu was in your car filming.

I've been reading your Diablo posts with interest -
any chance you could take me round the block in it? I'd be interested to learn how different it is to my 360.

Hope you don't mind me asking,

Rgds

Brian, You don't seem to have an e-mail link on your profile, drop me a line (see my profile) with your e-mail and/or mobile number and we'll set something up. Obviously the Limehouse Link is now out of action in terms of any local test runs.
Tony.

Yes, t'was indeed an extravangant(sp?) evening! I surely did enjoy myself!

Uh-huh, of course there was absolutely no offences incurred during the event. Neither were any laws broken.

Yeh, well thanks. And you and the rest?

I always see you people on this board talking about how their ferrari, or their lamborghini handles, brakes and whatnot. But my question is are they very expensive their? I'm getting the impression that they are at most half of what most of them sell for in the States. Btw the average retail for a ferrari or lamborghini (countach, Diablo) is around $150k with out extras, so you guys tell me are they cheap as hell over in the UK?

360M - £103275
360 Challenge Strandale - £133025
360 Spider - £112195
456GT - £170358
575 - £154350

Murcielago - £168000

Maserati Coupe - £61000
Maserati Spyder - £66800

Pagani Zonda - £285000

Porsche 911 Turbo - £88240
Porsche GT2 - £116180

You can work out the $ values

Also, most prices will be marked up in showrooms or you wait the time of a waiting list. Add £5k - £10k a car if you want brand new, today.

(all prices from Autocar)

Untrue. If it was all the americans would import their cars from England!

See above for a few example costs.

How can you quote countach and diablo prices? They vary on the condition, mileage, age etc etc of cars.

Also... Countach and Diablo are no longer made so i don't know how you can buy one new for $150k.... hhmmm

Cheers, Rico
