Hi, I was hoping someone on here may be able to help!

My nissan 200SX S14a has just the standard nissan alarm, however since this morning it is not sensing anything from the key fob. As the last time I locked it I locked it using the fob I've had to disconnect the whole thing just to stop it going off at anything. Could it be the battery in the key fob's going (it's still flashing red when I press it) or perhaps water in the sensors?

Any suggestions as to how to go about tackling this problem would be very much gratefully appreciated!

Cheers

you could try a new battery in the fob it might cure it.
sometimes the fob goes out of sync with locking and unlocking if it gets bashed about, you can try to reset this by removing the battery holding down both the unlock & lock buttons for ten seconds standing outside of the car, then replace the battery then hold down the button you want to opperate (ie if car locked press the unlock button) for ten seconds the light on the fob should start flashing to show its been re sync then the car should unlock.
