Thames had broken the banks in Datchet when I drove through earlier. Chap from the boat yard said they were letting out another lock (loch??) soon so it'd get worse.

Fine in Bisham- Thing that get me is the thames is about 2 inchs higher than in the summer but no news stories about the wave of water, Marlow flooding on the impending disaster from the council and the need for sandbags. This time the water is coming from the water table which is a lot worse. However needs another 3-4ft to get to 2003 levels.

Didn't know there was a 997TT and an Ultima in Bisham! I'm in Hurley by the way.

The water is really high around here and a friend who lives in the houses just before Marlow bridge on the left is again faced with flooding for about the 3rd year in a row. We think they must just flood our area so it is ok further up stream.

This is nothing compared to 2003 and quite normal winter weather.Couple more inches of rain and maybe a problem but if you have a house on the flood plain it is going to flood at some stage!

Caversham is currently an utter nightmare. Sonning Bridge is slow due to the fords which have appeared (and the numpties who freeze in front of them). Kings Meadow is now Kings Watermeadow - so cycling along the river is out.

I suspect RBC have tinkered with the traffic lights as well - especially the Gosbrook Road/George St lights.

went through sonning this mornig ,was not too bad apart from the numpties or the fools who think that driving through at 40-50 is a good idea

Yep - the water has almost entirely gone now. Peak was Monday morning I think!
