Some of you may remember at the end of last year I bought a non turbo FC RX7. Well I didn't really get on with it, and was given the opportunity to build an awesome Soarer drift project, but had to sell the FC to fund it.

So I sold it, already to accept delivery of the Soarer, when my old dear tells me there is no way in hell I'm undertaking a project like that on her driveway, as she saw the state of my driveway at my last house

So for a few weeks I was carless frown Until today biggrin

I've gone back to Nissan, but a little bigger than the S13's I've been used to.

Its an R32 GTST Skyline, RB20 DET (6cyl 24v, twincam, single turbo for those that dont know), Bltz EBC set at 0.85bar, de-cat, full exhaust, apexi induction, KYB springs and dampers, Rota GTR 8.5J x 18in wheels (ET30 & ET35).

Plans are side mount bucket seat, HICAS locking bar, FMIC, handbrake button and maybe a welded diff, but I'll see how I get on with the VLSD.

More pics when photbucket stops been crap frown

And maybe some of my first mods tomorrow :

Well, the 100miles return journey and some spirited driving taking my mates out in i last night, it averaged 24mpg, so I'm pretty chuffed smile And the noise from 4.5k to the 7k redline is pretty damned cool yes

Bought an FIA bucket seat for it today, and hope to pick up an FMIC, HICAS locking bar and bucket seat subframe this week, with maybe a tubular S/S manifold and elbow smile Then I'll have to get it mapped, which could be expensive.

And Russ, give me a shout when you're up for a bevvie, or perhaps we could post up in the Midlands section see if anyone other PHers are up for one too??

How much did it cost you may I ask? R33 GTSTs are silly cheap, so I can't imagine how much that set you back.
Any plans on upping the boost?

I'm hopefully picking one up this week, but cheers for the offer smile

The boost is already 0.85bar, so wont be changing that until I've got some fueling mods to back it up (pump and ECU map)

I paid £2500 for it btw smile

thumbup Should be good fun, a mate of mine had an R32 GTS-TM a while back with a few tweaks, it went rather well really. IIRC the R32 GTST is the lightest of the turbo 'Liners at about 1320kg.

Update smile

This is the offical list of the mods it came with

Apexi induction kit

Front strut brace

Greddy Profec B spec 2 electronic boost controller @ 0.85bar

De-cat pipe

Trust downpipe

Kakimoto exhaust system

EBC red stuff front pads

EBC rear pads

braided brake hoses

kyb adjustable dampers and lowered springs

18in Rota GTR 8.5" silver with polished lip, ET30/ET35 (for sale BTW wink)

Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser
These are from the for sale advert.

I was fairly happy with it, but wanted to put my own mark on it, so got a few parts from a seller on DW smile

Hicas lock bar

Autobahn 88 FMIC with hard pipes

Autobahn 88 Tubelar manifold

Autobahn 88 Turbo elbow

Bride sidemount seat subframe

Corbeau Sprint FIA approved seat
I also took the Rota GTR's off, as I personally feel 18's are too big for an R32, so I'm eventually gonna replace them with some wide 17's cool In the meantime the 16in 8J ET38 Enkie's will do. I actually think it looks kinda cool as it is, maybe get them spacered out a touch until I find some 17's I like/have the money for them.

As you can see, the Enkies are sitting a bit weak atm frown

Fingers crossed I'll be picking up some Tein coilovers tomorrow, then its case of fitting the Hicas lock bar, manifold, elbow & FMIC, change the coilpacks and thermostat (as they knackered) then get it mapped. Then it should be good enough for some TDSW action or any other weekend drift days.
