Does anyone know of any driver training courses running at TRL? It's local to me & would be handy if I could get on there to have a play in the Mas. It's been a long time since I've driven a rwd car (esp with 400bhp & in the wet) & after 6 weeks I still find myself on the power a little too early sometimes, esp roundabouts, courtesy of about 8 years driving turbo 4wd motors.

So anyone know if there's anything interesting going on?

Cheers,
A

Rob Gravett does his car control courses there, but I think it's in his cars rather than your own. I'm not sure it's that great a place to practice compared to somewhere like Millbrook - other than the massive tarmac circle (and it's really massive), there's little more than a couple of looped straights and the collection of smaller roads that are a mix of B road analogues with no runoff and plenty of trees.

I did some driving at milbrook a few years ago, was great - taught me a fair bit. I guess I'm looking for 2 things really, somewhere not too far away I can actually use the car a bit & give it some stick without the blue flashing lights & also somewhere not a million miles away to learn some car control. Any other places I should be looking at? I'm in Reading.

Hairy Don Palmer is based not too far from you, but he uses Bruntingthorpe mainly, which is about twice the distance of Millbrook. Whether he can get on Crowthorne is another matter.
