Just wanted to see what people had done with the insides of the doors in terms of fitment of handles, door cards etc? We were debating whether to try to upholster the inside of the doors, or maybe make some door cards to fit. The factory recommend leaving the 'holes' in the doors as handles but Im not sure I'ma fan of this look?! Any ideas/pictures/suggestions welcome!

This is what I have done, or rather the upholsterer, I understand that it is quite difficult to get the middle without creases.

Wow, that certainly does look the business! Very impressed! clap I was thinking along the same lines possibly with very thin alacantara which Im hoping would stretch slightly to fill the concave profile that you have done in red.

Don't put door cards on.
You will need all the space in the doors when you go to LeMans.

Sausages smile

I have never put anything in there, even for a Le Mans trip. Does your food keep in there Steve?

Lemans...I dont think the FIA would be too happy with me doing 230mph down the Mulsanne straight with my lunchbox hopping round the cabin?! Or my sausages for that matter...biggrin

Just to say, that fitting the door cards is without doubt, one of the hardest jobs to do on the car!

Use an upholsterer for this if you want to save a lot of frustration and swearing! smile

Graham-P - Who did you get to do the upholstery for you and what kind of costs are we looking at?

Stig - Take it this means you did your own...what problems did you have? May be attemtping mine in the next weekend or two?! smile

Cheers, Jonny

I used Auto Interiors who were very helpful and as you can see did a really good job. I had the whole interior covered, doors, seats, dash, consol, so you're best to talk to them about cost as your requirements will no doubt differ from mine.

Hi, trying to get all my bits! in order prior to starting the build in 12 / 14 weeks time.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier of Sikafix? also according to the tech pages on the web there are various types which should I go for?
thanks
David
