Guys,I had my rear wheels stolen off my wedge last night they are 16 inch tuscan race alloys, the centre part of the wheel has been respayed black and the tyres are toyo's 245/45/zr16 with about 4-5mm of tread left. If you hear of anybody trying to off-load these wheels please call me on 07947609968 anytime..I live in waltham abbey area but who no's where they could end up

...and it wasen't even anywhere near the Valleys - otherwise they would have had the fronts as well faster than Jenson Button's pit crew!!!
Seriously though I dream of catching somebody crouched down unbolting my wheels. Might have to put another dent in me maglite! ;-)

Is it worth putting a post up on the club forum too.No i'm not a member of the club, but if you could put a post up for me with my contact number that would be very helpfull thank you. Just been told by insurance company that because the car was not in it's garage that they won't cover it, Had left it on the drive way overnight as i was doing some work on the front end yesterday.

You may want to buy a set of wheel covers that hide the bolts. and fit a security bolt to hold it on.
will stop the quick steal.

Sorry to hear about your loss. but I have spare Tuscan wheel's and 400SE wheels and tyres, your welcome to borrow either, but will want them back.
The Tucans Wheels have slicks. but the 400SE ones have usable tyres.

Guys, thanks very much for all your help and kind offers of loaning me some wheels, after speaking to Leigh it seems that there arn't to many cars that the 16's fit on, so i,m hopeful that they will turn up... eventully...
And when they do it's only a matter of finding out who got them off who and to give the last person in the chain a fecking good slap....

, i,ve had enough for one day i'm going down the pub.... If it makes economical sense to claim off your insurers (excess, loss of no claims, adverse claim history etc)I would do so. Provided that you show that the vehicle is regularly parked in the garage and that you took reasonable steps to safeguard the vehicle, I don't see how the insurers can argue. Its only reasonable to expect that from time to time you can't park in the garage or on the drive and if that is when the vehicle suffers loss that's the risk insurers take, provided that you don't abuse the contract by leaving the car out all the time when you have told them it will be garaged. Unless of course there is a specific clause which voids the policy if it is left outside the garage, say if you park in a hotel car park overnight whilst on a trip. Don't believe what the insurer tells you, claims depts are so dumbed down these days the staff don't understand their own policies. Push through the insurers complaint procedure (it should be in the back of the policy)and if you still draw a blank, contact the insurance ombudsman. He decides what's reasonable and within the spirit of a policy, as opposed to the black and white of a contract with loopholes. An insurer has to pay the IO at least £300 win or lose, you pay nowt. Also, it goes against their record of ombudsman complaints so they often pay out rather than go down the IO route. Would be a good tip for any insurance dispute so someone might want to bookmark this post. Regards, Mark
