Noticed that my nearside front Bridgestone has noticeable wear (i.e. very little visible tread it seems) on its outer edge and this after only 4300 miles.

Gulp - that’s the type of mileage I used to get out of my superbike tyres.

Can this be classed as normal (btw I’m no boy racer)?

Nope. I'm at 16,000 miles. Just about to replace the rears, but the fronts are going strong....

Obviously I don't drive fast enough before you all get at me..... :-)

Suggest the tracking must be way out. Apparently they are often out as standard. I had the Road Response Pack done by Monkfish at around 10,000 miles, which included laser wheel alignment, so I know that my tracking is perfect now.

Sounds like something I may have to check also. Since I got it its always pulled to the left slightly, and the front tyres have been getting very warm very quickly when using a bit of right foot.

Not surprising given the weight of the car and the amount of power trying to make it go in a straight line

The cars are very sensitive to wheel alignment in all planes.
As previously said, a Monkfish road response pac'll sort you or a decent laser alignment failing that.

Mine (18 in) when the car was new did tend to feather on the edges. I had Drive check it and they made a small adjustment - not under warrantee of course. Wear rate did seam to reduce and squeezed 20K from the set regularly rotating them front/back keeping them on the same side.

Again - Monkfish are the answer

25,000 from the fronts on mine. New tyres (5000) look like new still

Again I would get Monkfish to look at your car. I think this will save you money in the long term.
