Anyone in the know (nudge nudge, wink wink) give any idea as to whether an estate version of the XF is on the cards? Y or N.

And if it is going to be a near term addition or some way off?

Many thanks.

Why are you looking at estates Gareth? scratchchin

I've not heard anything about an XF Estate although my sources are not as strong as they once were. I imagine Jaguar will knock up a couple of styling bucks and bodge a prototype together while they wait to see if the saloon sells well. If it does, then they'd be crazy not to try to capitalise on a strong model...

4 months down, 5 months to go. Hazzard a guess!

G wink

Ps Howz things Ian? The 'R' Club, might get a resurrection if you can manage a drive over. Looking for a new venue.

surely the XF is big enough in saloon guise for a baby?

It's not the baby that takes up all the space, it's all the damn stuff that people (mothers) feel the need to transport as well as the little darlings. Now I expect that the amount of s**t carried is proportional to the space available but it's amazing how much space you can end up using.

Shortly after #2 arrived Mrs Hex's car was back in the dealers and they lent us a E-Class saloon instead of out estate, for a car it's boot was big, but by the time you'd put a double buggy in the boot there wasn't much space left for anything else. And that was just a simple double buggy, not one of these fancy jobbies you see being unloaded from the back of Range Rovers.

Oh yes, congrats by the way
