Was supposed to be a test shot of pan fried salmon with herbs, so for the test shot I used the rotting herbs which were already going off in the fridge, as the shoot had been delayed. For a laugh I decided to upload anyway... Pic has sold 300 times on Shutterstock far outselling the "proper real" photo, which looked crap when cooked with fresh herbs and drizzled in butter, when compared.

What un-pre-meditated shots have you lot taken, and whats the story behind the shots smile

with this shot the wind at the location we had chosen was REALLY bad! models were booked and i had people up from london for the shoot so we had to just get on with it.

most of the shots are compromised by the wind and the cold that went with it but the wind definatly makes this shot. i love the way her hair has blown across here face but you still get that implied eye contact. it gives the shot a bit of energy that the others from that day just lack a bit.

was shot as jpeg BTW!

Nothing like the quality of either of the above, but whilst at chamonix I took this, literally point and click with a camera phone a couple of years ago, always been quite pleased with it, more because it's a nice picture than a skillful photo smile

just a shame about the filth on the lense making those dots in the sky.

I hadn't let my flash recycle (batteries were low) and someone else's went off at the side.

This was a total fluke. Taken on my first time using the 55-200mm, and I had only had my first dslr for 2 months.

My accidental success was actually 3 successes in quick succession laugh

I didn't realise i had it on multi-shot mode and thought i had missed the shot all together until i loked back at the images.

They're not necessarily brlliant shots, but my best accident so far.

There was a small gathering watching vips being taken round donnington in a couple of different cars...wondered over for a look and with out realising the megane was right behind the little ranault gp3(?) car started snapping away on multi-shot mode....this is the best pic i got and totally shocked i got it.

laugh Nah, it is a real person - part of a pagan festival.

Yeah Ania's living on Crete atm (I think, she was in December anyway) as she'd had enough of Scotland's cold and damp biggrin

Time to wheel out my best fluke shot again.

I was shooting a drive-by of the GT3 in continuous mode and this was part of the sequence. Almost binned it off the back of the camera but decided against it. Really pleased I kept it as I actually really like it.
