1994 Chimaera steering rack & rear axle.

i have had a pre purchase inspection done and two potential problems have been thrown up.
1. steering rack has wear in it.Is the rack a TVR part or from another manufacturer? If so which car?
2. The rear axle may have an lsd problem which may require it to be replaced, is this from another manufacturer and, again, which one?
Any help would be gratefully received.

Steering rack is a TVR speciual. Budget about £500 for a recon. Diff is GKN but effectively another TVr special. Could be very expensive depending on what is wrong with it.

Look up Andy from APM on here, he does reconditioning for racks for a couple of the main dealers
