Has anyone fitted a remote oil filter, if so can you post a pic or two, I'm thinking about fitting one but as the engine is out I'm not sure how far along the top chassis rail to fir one to clear the headrers.

I did, but the only pic I can find at the mo is on my site, see http://pb3.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/ on the 'General' page the botton left pic shows the top of the filter housing and the remote thermostat. It clears the top fuel tank return but other than that just keep it and/or the pipes away from the alternator if you chose the same location that is. If you have an Accusump you could also do as they recommend and feed it with filtered oil rather the 'dirty' oil in the standard setup!

I have a remote kit if you are interested. Never fitted it and then moved the engine forward with new gearbox so did not need it.

Thanks for that Phil, I know the general area now.
Guy, yes interested, I'll PM you.
The reason I'm looking into this is that I have moved my Laminova oil cooler to the cool side of the cooling system (drivers side) so I need to extend the oil lines and while I was at it install a remote filter and get rid of the balancing act at getting the filter out at every oil change!

I think I have everything including the pipes and the ends (aeroquip). Will need to hunt through the garage to find it.
