Hi first time on here need help!!!!
I own a 2.5 ghia X 97reg mondeo which is very well maintained but every time the engine gets nice and warm I'm getting a realy loud hum only on idle, please please please someone have an idea how to fix it, it seems to come from the air filter pipes, I have tried moving them so they sit in a diferent way but with no joy look forward to any ideas you may have CHEERS

Hi,

I think its called moosing something to do with the air resonating in from outside.
You can by an anti moose pipe but i found that when i cahnged the standard airbox for an induction kit
it did the same job and as a result not happened since.

Yup, moosing it almost certainly is.

Head over to the www.fordmondeo.org forums and it is well discussed there. If I recall right one of the members used to sell a pipe that could solve your problem.

I sold hundreds of the pipes, IIRC the site owner now sells them wink
