Good choice of car smile Exactly what I have and one of the best cars I've ever had.
Does the rear door lock manually? If so then it's probably the solenoid at fault. Either wiring (plug off maybe) or the solenoid itself. Take the door trim off and have a look. Check for power at the harness to the solenoid etc. The other option if you have a warranty, is to speak to the dealer and see if they are OK with you taking it to a local garage for repair. Many secondhand car dealers use a warranty company, so it doesn't matter where the work is done as long as it's agreed in advance.

In that case the only way to find out is to get the panel off and take a look. It sounds like either something has caught the mechanism and is springing it unlocked, or the solenoid is stuck in unlock. Many solenoids are sprung and if it has no electrical supply it could be the problem. Take the panel off. If there's nothing obvious then disconnect the solenoid and see if the lock will then stay down. If it does, check for current at the plug on the solenoid during lock/unlock actions. If the panel is easy to remove you could take the other side off and swap the solenoids over to see of the fault moves with the solenoid.
