panel for my mini which run directly on top of rear valence and holds the hinges on the boot door. Ive just replaced my rear valence but while removing the old one with the air chizle, vibration broke away rusted sections which in turn made the floor loose in about a 8" section. I butted the new 1 up to the rear seem and welded it on. i then cut off a 8" section of the seem were the problem was exposing the valence then slid a plate from the floor through to the edge of the new valence. But i have a hole still running through to my boot and the panel in question is to rusy to weld to the new floor plate. Do they sell this panel and if not how do i get around this problem. thanx in advance..neale..

thanks lowandslow, got that panel, part no555 as you said (boot hinge panel) cost me £12. The panel only runs about 1.5" past the hinges so ive made a new topseam for both sides which goes from the hinges to the rear arches as the old topseam is really rusty. Pic below. Has anyone got any advice on fitting this panel and is it a pain to line up the boot lid whilst doing so? Would it be a gud idea to tack the panel, fit the boot lid to double check b4 welding it up? thanx in advance ..neale..

The boot hinge panel is formed from 3 separate panels. The hinge panel, boot floor and rear valance.

Good luck getting it sorted.
