Someone has tried to alter my number plate - WTF?

Just washed all the grime accumulated last Sunday from my car. It appears someone has tried to change a V into an M and a 5 into a 6 on my rear number plate. Looks like it was done with a permanent marker (not very effectively fortunately so its barely visible). Why would someone do that? Very odd

Right, lets be clear I don't remember seeing anyone other than me or nigel totally ttted at an official SAS meet, so I doubt it was one of us.

It is parked opposite the pet shop, turn left out of Punto and keep going straight!! We are just going out, but its only 8pm!!
