If any local PHers are popping into CostCo in Reading over the next few days, can you have a quick look in the kids toys section to see if they have any Scalextric Digital sets in the stock.

Many thanks in advance,

K

I quite fancy a new toy, but I'm going to pretend I'm getting it for my son.

Jas - what I'm specifically after is the "Digital Super GT" - it's the one with the 3 cars - Porsche, AM and Viper.

The retail price is £200 - but CostCo had a batch in around November-time for about £110. I figured I'd wait until we went there in Dec and would get one then - suffice to say - all gone. And have been on the lookout ever since.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Contact via PM if necessary.

Regards,

K

Amazon had these in stock before christamas at 160 quid.

You can still order from them at that price, but they're not in stock at the moment.

This place has an ex demo http://www.castletrains.com for the same price.

I've been tempted myself

Do you still have to work for civil service etc, or are there no requirements now?

The sign above the membership desk last night referred to quite a long list. They also target local companies. Best to give them a call re eligibility.

If you run your own company or partnership it is easier and better to get a Trade membership. Trade members enjoy longer opening hours and get free coffee and cakes during the periods when personal members aren't allowed in.
