I've got an M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 Soundcard for my G5.

I'm running 10.5 and have been waiting for M-Audio to bring out an appropriate driver, which they did, the other day.

However I now keep having kernel panics on boot, not always but about 20% of the time with this error:

I tried uninstalling the card (not unplugged it yet) but get a similar problem complaining about audiod

When the machine boots OK, it and the SC work fine, never had an issue.

Looking around the net all I can find are people whinging about their drivers but nothing to help resolve.

I've sent various error logs to M-Audio and am awaiting a response. But given the rave reviews their kit receives they can't be that bad.


As there are a few Mac experts on here I was hoping someone could suggest a way to fix this, I'm a bit new to these machines and don't know them to this level yet
