I know a few people with Dell PC's about a year or so old, they have the Dell wireless mouse and keyboard option and its very good. Comes with charging base for mouse, nice keyboard. Another friend a few weeks back ordered a new Dell PC with wireless mouse and keyboard, but these are different . The keyboard is crap and its now all bluetooth. Wireless mouse doesnt have a charger any more just uses standard batteries. The problem is that even if he turns off the bluetooth when not using it (via switch under mouse) it eats a set of duracells in about a week and he doesnt use the PC that much ! My old microsoft wireless mouse gets 2-3 months from a set of batteries.

Any idea what the battery life expectancy should be ?

I got 6 months out of a set in the ones given to me by work (Dell bluetooth ones). Used 3 or 4 days a week all day and too lazy to turn them off on the bottom...
