So my Z4 is telling me it needs a service, at 55k miles or so.

Can anyone recommend a good place in Glasgow for this, before I phone one of the big places? Also, what can I expect to pay (roughly) for this?

Thanks in advance smile

My Dad has used a George Morrison Motors in Rutherglen for the last couple of years, they are (as we type) fitting a replacement engine in his Z3M Coupe so know what they are up to - always had excellent service from routine Servicing to more major stuff like the engine swap. Also always some really nice cars in to look at whilst there like old school porsches and new stuff too.

Not sure if George Morrison has all the latest BMW software that notifies what the car needs just from the key reading as it could just need a filter change OR there could be 101 things needing done. G.Morrison can do all the major things but you may find your service light stays on as some ridiculously trivial item may not have been replaced.

Absolutely no doubt the best indie for BMW in Glasgow is:

Ronnie Weaver, 3a Delvin Rd, Cathcart, Glasgow G44 3AA

0141 637 7898.

Cannot recommend them highly enough. What him and Andy don't know about beemers isn't worth knowing. If you want highly skilled, knowledgeable and freindly engineeers and you don't care about potted plants, mirrors and chrome you just can't go anywhere better.

Scroll down here and see what everyone says about them!

I can't actually think of a decent dealer garage but the service guys at Douglas Park up in Kyle Street are pretty decent guys (and the last time I looked they had a new shape M3, a M6 and a M5 for sale in the used showroom).

I'm the odd guy out. Why? Because the world and it's Aunt knock Dougy Park in Hamilton, and to be honest, I don't have a bad work to say about them when it comes to servicing.

They are NOT as expensive as you think either. £250 all in/parts/vat etc for an inspection 2 on the wifes 330ci last month for example. And it's a main dealer stamp in the book, which has always been gold when it comes to chop in time every two years.

Happy customer here, for both the wife's and my own car.

Seconded - always excellent service. I know of 5 cars maintained by them.
