30 Limits

Am i right in thinking that a 30 limit has to have street lighting or am i wrong ?

From what I can remember of my driving instruction last year! It is usually indicated by street lights I don't know if it's compulsary!! I'll just have a look!

Cheers its just that they have put a 30 limit through a village called Melplash between Beaminster and Bridport and ........... Thats right plod are there catching people out , it used to be 40 but for no reason they lowerd it to 30, and from what i can remember if a road has a 30 limit it has to have street lights , a mate of mine has been done doing 40 so any info would be great

30 limits don't have to have street lights; however, if there are no lights, or the lights are more than a specified distance apart, there must be speed limit repeater signs. You'll find more information on this on the DETR's website.
