Anyone else running these and what do you think.

Put some on the rear today and first impression is that the seem to be steering the car at the mo.
Prob too early TBO as they really havn`t bed in yet but would be interested to hear other opinions.
I think they`ll be great in the wet though.

I've got these on and they are brilliant IMHO even though mine's FI. They will be a bit slippy at first but give them a couple of hundred miles. Easily as good as the Bridgestones I had on before.

I've got some on the front, and compared to the previous, admittedly worn, Pirellis they are great, much more confidence turning in, and more stable in a straight line. I'm intending to put some on the rear once the current ones have worn out.

I plan on trying the Falkens next time I change. I've heard several reports of how good they are. I swear by the Toyo T1R proxes. That said, they don't last long :/

Nearly slicked my previous rears, so got some Falkens last thursday of the back of the reccomendations on this site, not worn in yet, but agree with Jez they do not inspire confidence (yet). 200 mile round trip on tuesday, so will update after a good run in.

Similar problems as jez. New goodyear f1 asims on the rear leaving dual carriageway on a curved exit at 60 back end didn't want to follow the front. i've already none a couple of hundred miles on motorway and around town. I hope they start gripping soon.

Yup, I've had a few sets of Falkens now and for the first few hundred miles they are pretty slippy, also you might expaeriance a cyclical motion from the rear round a high speed bend, all dies down and diappears though! Ever so graceful transition into oversteer as well biggrin

Which Falkens? I've a set of Falken FK452's on test and found them to be quite awkward for the first 500 miles. They're a bit better now they're bedded in, and they needed a few more PSI than the previous tyre but overall I'm quite happy for the price.

Certainly not the ultimate tyre people make them out to be but then nor are the T1Rs. Get what you pay for.

Yeah 452`s not expecting miracles for the money they cost TBO.

fk452's here aswell. daren't push it yet, but "driving through mushy peas" is a phrase that springs to mind considering my previous rears wear cheap as chips budgets....

Never had a problem with the T1R's so not sure why you were unhappy with those. I'm hard on tyres so if I had to wait 500 miles to scrub them in then I'd be VERY upset with the Falkens! On about my fifth set of rears in 9 months.

My only gripe with the T1Rs is the rabid fan base. They're a very good tyre for the price, perhaps even the best in the segment (not had the fortune to back to back with the FK452 yet) but people make them out to be the ultimate road tyre because they haven't tried a premium max performance tyre to compare against.

Oh, they tend to fall apart on track too.

T1R's just happen to be the best tyre I've tried. The reason I keep reading these reviews is because I'm always on the lookout for something better. I am in a position to compare many tyres having had about 5 sets on the rear in 9 months so far. Happy to try anything with a good review. What do you call a "premium" brand, I'll try those next.

Funny isn't it? All I've been reading here for the last year are good reviews on the Falkens - until I place an order for some (being fitted today) and then all I read are not so good reviews......

Oh well. Soon to make my own mind up - I'll post back with my own good or bad review.

At least they are cheap!! £123 each fited.

Gas - Something like either a Bridgestone RE050APP, SO2PP or Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 offer, in my opinion, a far higher all round usability than the T1R.

Steve - I doubt you'll be disappointed for the price.

I have tried the Michen Pilot Sport, I was VERY disappointed... they had a tendancy to tramline, and I wore 2mm in 3 days... They were changed within 4 weeks. I may try Bridgestone next though, but still tempted to try the Falkens first.

If its french or italian the purchase price is probably 80% pensions, embezlement and graft.
Save this 80% and get some cheaper eastern stuff like toyo or kuhmo that work properly smile

Now that's impressive! By all accounts the MPS is probably the hardest wearing tyre in that segment.

If you try the Falkens I'd be interested to hear your feedback.
