I'm using Canon gear - 30D, 70-300mm, 50mm f1.4

What lenses do you normally shoot with ?

I use Nikon gear, D300, 70 - 200 VR f2.8 and a 17-55mm. Sold the VR lens yesterday as I have been having problems with it. Nothing wrong with the lens mechanically but I and many others have focusing problems for some strange reason when doing motorsport pics with this type of lens.
Ordered a 300mm f4 lens from hong kong and keeping an eye out for a 80 - 200 f2.8 but not having much luck. Need to get it quick though or I wont be taking pics of anything!!

Nice kit !
I'd like to move to a 70-200 f2.8 at some point, partly for the f2.8 but also for the faster focusing smile

Like to see some of your shots with the 300 f4 when you get it ! smile
Will you be using a monopod with that ?

Cheers.

The buggies should not be allowed on a Hot Marques session if I was honest, as when they go off and they do alot, they just drag all the crap of the day back onto the track.

Yeah they are fast but they are just a bike with a roll cage!!
