So, I traded 3 Charvels plus a wad of cash for something much uglier. I think it's quite rare, but it plays like an absolute demon so I can overlook the paint smile

Anyway, here are some pics:

Ibanez JEM77PMC
A UV777MC is my dream guitar, so the 6 string brother is worth a huge thumbs up from me.

Cool. I only came to know of all the famous players using them after I ordered it, although I was aware that Joe Bonamassa was a user. It was more like: Plug cheap guitar (my strat) in to amp. Get absolutely blown away by the sounds being produced. Put deposit on said amp! biggrin

see if you can guess the gibbos just by their headstocks ......ive given you the SG already wink
Top could be a Melody Maker "V" or Explorer, headstock is too small for a "real" V, and it's got the MM tuners.

The other? The shape is similar to a Firebird, but every proper Firebird doesn't have such a prominent nipple on the lower part of the headstock near the nut. So no idea.
I agree with the Melody Maker V/Explorer. The other one doesn't look like a proper Firebird. For starters the tuner-heads don't stick out like that in a 'real' firebird-they're hidden behind the headstock. May be its a 'modern' firebird...
yep tis a melody maker explorer ......and the other is my main goto stage guitar at the moment ....a 2006 vegas standard .....a really over looked and underated guitar in Gibsons stable

That is lovely! I have the modern version of that - a 2009 American Standard with the natural finish and the black plate on it.

The only way a Telecaster should come in my opinion smile

That is superb, 10/10.

Justin hasn't shut up about that Telecaster for a while now, a friend of mine had one similar and it was a lovely sounding guitar. I don't have any pics though, here is a generic one from google:

Picked this up a little while ago.

Words cannot express how much I love it...

2011 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster Custom Deluxe FMT HSS... what a name!

Birdseye maple neck, abalone fret markers & top markers, CS deluxe two-point tremolo, Seymour Duncan TB-11 'Custom Custom' humbucker, 2x Master Design singlecoils, locking Schaller tuners, AA flamed maple top finished in Candy Blue (stained wood, pearlescent transparent lacquer), with a swamp ash body underneath.

Pretty much plays itself. smile

Cool looking strat! Bloody hell, the Custom Custom 'bucker! How are you finding that in the strat?! It is one of the hottest passive 'buckers I've heard. That thing is like having an instant 'boost' button on hand for goosing the front-end of an amp. It's like being punched in the chest, that brute.

Very nice. Interesting construction though - a bit like a Les Paul. Does it sound any different to a "normal" strat?

I was in my favourite guitar shop on Friday trying to decide between these two:

Gibson LP Classic

PRS Custom 22 Singlecut

- I didn't realise they had that same Strat in!

It's not quite Les Paulish. Not set neck, no mahogany body, maple neck- still sounds very Stratty. Although, the overall sound is a very well-balanced one. It's got a strange darkness from the swamp ash that's counteracted by the brightness of the maple neck & top. Pickups are beautifully chosen for it.

Not quite on this! The model name is the TB-11, and again, it seems fairly even in its tone. It's certainly quite aggressive, sounds amazing for slide! The most beautiful tones are the neck and middle though. In-between positions are pure funk and Dire Straights stuff, but the individual neck & mid sounds are simply lovely.
