Premium Diesel in 2.2 ST

Guys,

Looking at a Mondeo ST TDCI 2.2. What's your opinion on filliing it up with premium diesel brands available at the pumps?

Should it be remapped to make the most of it?

I use V Power in my supercharged BMW Z4, but it's specifically mapped for 99 octane. That said before I charged it I noticed an improvement in mpg which made up for the extra cost... It was more responsive too.. but i wouldn't say any more power.. think that was just in the head

Seeing as work pay for mine I've tried it with BP Ultimate; didnt make a blind bit of difference to economy or performance even after around 4 tanks

I think you'd be hard pressed to pinpoint the fuel difference after a remap unless you're going to run it on ultimate for a good few thousand miles before you get it remapped to compare. Anything you pick up would largely be claimed by the map as a gain rather than fuel

tried my TDCI (remapped) on several consecutive tanks of higher grade deisel and it made no noticable difference, other than to the price of a full tank.
