Pops on the over-run V8S

I was just wondering if my car is normal. I have had my V8S for a couple of weeks now and if I change up over 4000rpm I get an impressive backfire on the over-run when I change gear (not seen any flames yet). =D I should think this means that some unburnt fuel is getting through into the exhaust.

The car is a 93, so does it have a cat. If so am I going to blow the thing to bits, or should I enjoy the race car sound track.

Own a V8s myself 0n a 92 plate no cat, Im sure that the later ones after 92 were fitted with cats but not 100% sure.

Mine too pops on the overrun and do get the occasional flame which is great wouldn't worry too much about as mine has being doing since i have owned it almost a year and a half and have had no trouble.

just enjoy it !!!!

Have a mate to follow you if poss with a camera got some great shots of mine spitting flames!!!!!

I will have a look for flames next time I drive in the dark then. (Silly grin is getting bigger all the time).
