Have been looking into how to stop the oil starvation problems my speed six and have spoken to Clever Trevor about the raceproved Cam cover with Pre oiler.

I know a few people have these. Has anyone had them fitted? Does it improve oil pressure on idle?

I am tempted by it as it would seem to be eliminate some of the problems.

Any thoughjts greatly appreciated.

Hi Greig
I have been running the Cam Cover/ Pre Oiler for about 18 months now and have been pleased with it.

If you look up my Profile and from there the the contribution history, you will find a number of posts on the subject which you may well find answer some of the questions you may have.

If not, please feel free to email me and I will try to answer any questions the posts do not address.

I`ve often wondered why this isn`t just a quick solution to the problem?

Why aren`t uprated oil pump's fitted as part of any rebuild?

I was just wondering the same thing.
Would it be a quick fix? And where do you get them?

Sorry this doesn't really help but mine came with it already fitted. I bought an ex tvr owned T350cc, which came with no official service history so before the factory closed i managed to speak someone in the TVR Engineering department where they do engine work servicing and such like. Anyway i asked for a report of the work/servicing carried out on the car and it was fitted at 33k. Top end rebuild and uprated oil pump fitted. Now whether or not it actually was an uprated oil pump I'm taking in good faith but 56k now on clock and no sign of any top end wear at the last three services. I would give Dom a call at Power and ask him whether they do one. Possibly something developed in house by tvr engineering.
