Just wondering how many people on here don't like their plate being put up on any pictures. I've tended not to bother with blanking plates on pics I've put up, because most, if not all pics put up are of rare cars that would be very hard to clone and since plate info is public anyway. But at the same time if anyone doesn't want it done then either post here or send a message so I know to blank a plate if I see you around and get a pic.

i dont know what the big deal is about blanking out plates.
If you were going to clone a car then just find one in ASDA or on the road.

I'm not bothered, theres roughly only 50-60 m400's in the uk so the chances of someone cloning mine are slim. If I had something a bit less rare then i'd want my plate or some of my plate blanked off.

Why cover your plates when you are on track?

Your plates are displayed every time you are on a public road

I think some insurance companies will void your claim if they can prove you were at a track day / Crail etc and things go belly up. Also heard stories (probably just stories mind) that sometimes insurers will appear at events and do a bit of snooping.

There's two sides to this.....

I'm not bothered too much about insurance as I generally get trackday insurance.....

Someone using my plates and cloning the car, speeding etc would be a concern tho... The car is fairly rare but even so it has crossed my mind.

I dont really post pictures (partly because I've not investigated how to) but I'd have to think twice about it.

If you haven't got track insurance and are going to drop it in a ditch after the trackday if you prang it then i could see why no plates
