I noticed today that both my rear light clusters are partially misted up with condensation inside.Externally, aren't they sealed units?.I have checked inside the boot and it is all dry. Also there is a small oil leak which is on the drivers side underneath, just back from the plastic under tray.Could it be something stupid like the sump plug or oil filter leaking?.I guess i'll have to take it to the Drive Vauxhall stealership. The oil press and coolant temp are fine,so hopefully it is only minor!!.The car is a 6.0 vxr.(By the way my gearbox ratios are fine lol).I have about 4 months left on my warranty,so hopefully should be covered.Had to laugh on the badge snobbery thread,i think we all bought our cars because of looks, rarity and fun to drive and not what the badge says. If a girl is tidy and goes well, who cares what her name is! Keep smiling and yes it is only my second post.Thank god i here you all say.
I bought my car from Network Q with warped discs, a failing gearbox and faulty climate control (surprisingly it made it throught the 135 point check). All were eventually fixed under warranty and it's been trouble free ever since. These are simple cars with mostly simple to fix problems. Just get it fixed and enjoy.
BTW, welcome to the forum.

I get some mist in my rear light clusters of my 6lts VXR but after driving down the road it always goes, but when the weather was warmer it doesnt happen so im not to bothered about it.I could goto Vauxhall but ive had a few parts on order from Greens in Kent for over 6 months and are still waitting for them.
A trick i have learned is to mask up the lights with newspaper or any insulating material and switch all the lights on. the additional heat helps to evaporate any trapped moisture. Be warned though, if you leave for too long you MAY and this IS a possiblity, melt some or part of the internal component such as the reflectors. A few minutes will be ok, i'm talking 30 mins plus here.

Oil leak will be PAS fluid. Remove both undertrays and tighten clips. Hopefully that will solve it.
Thanks for the replies guys. The lights are obviously better as the weather has been drier the last couple of days,i shall have to see if it gets any worse and if not, i can hopefully live with it.Had a quick look underneath the car when i got into work today and the oil leak is small and as i said is on the drivers side, just back from the plastic undertray. There appears to be some oil collected or run onto two approx 8-10mm rubber pipes, which connect via jubilee clips to copper/brass smaller diameter pipes.I shall take the trays off in the next few days and have a look.Once again thanks for the advice and keep enjoying the great cars we all have.Going for a fag and brew now as i'm outta breath.
