Kent Hoon Sun Morning 30/3/08
Discussion
Hi All, Saied and I are doing a run around Kent on Sunday Morning 30/3/08 and wonder if any one would be interested in joing us
. It would be an early start
, meeting at 6:30am at the Oakdene Cafe
(http://www.oakdenecafe.co.uk/) and starting the run at 7am. More details can be found here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a..."A possible circuit could be to take the A252 from Charing to Chilham. Great road, particularly the section after Molash which descends off the downs. The road is pretty wide here with sweeping corners and a lovely scenic backdrop. Then left onto the A28 for a short while, turning right to pass through Shalmsford Street eventually meeting up with the B2068.This is the old Canterbury to Hythe road and is quick. Great viewpoint for a brief stop at Farthing Common where you can see the Channel in the distance on a clear day. Then some great bends before you reach the M20 roundabout. From there, meet up with the B2067 at Lympne and follow it all the way to Tenterden. Could subsequently thread one's way back to Charing via some decent unclassified 'C' roads.">------------------Saied - Elise RQuyen - 996C2

Quyen - Thanks for posting the meet up. I've been on PH for over two years now and I never realised this sub-forum existed
zippy144 - Great minds think alike. I was pretty much planning on doing the roads you mentioned during the middle part of the run
Black Frog - Pity you can't make it. Maybe another time, hopefully do another Kent hoon later on if this one's a success. Cheers for the heads up re. BTCC. Should be OK considering the meet time though, plus we'll be starting off in the opposite direction to Brands
Any more takers?

Hi, We are having our second TVR Meeting at lunchtime on 30 March @ The Three Tuns Inn, Staple, CT3 1LN, just off the A257 Canterbury-Sandwich road near to Wingham.
www.thethreetunsstaple.co.uk for details/map. We managed 9 Tivs at our 1st meeting on 24 Feb and we will now be meeting on the last Sunday of each month. If you want to make a detour en-route you would be very welcome - pub has a large car-park, the food is great and Steve the landlord has a Griff, good venue or what?
Cheers, Graham

Might be up for this, have done many in the past, Hi Zippy!
I would make the suggestion that the route not be posted up on here, if you are intending to have a hoon or shall we say spirited drive then telling the public the route might not be the best idea. All y0u need is the BIB to wait for a convoy of hooning cars.
Best to get everyone to email you via the PM and then you can email them back.
Maybe see you there, will put name down when i know.

- I set the alarm and tried getting up at 6am yesterday for a test run but ended up having a lie in until 9am
. I think the trick is to get to bed before 10pm and to get up immediately with the alarm otherwise it simply won't happen
.

-Good point about the route and the BIB
.
Saied and Zippy144
- Can you put your heads together and firm up a route please
? We can PM you for the route once it's set. Thanks.

Just what we (cerb and chimera) wer looking for,a good hoon with like minded people. Normally get out early on a sunday (as long as roads are fairly dry) so if you dont mind we try and join you on 30th. As far as BIB are concerned speed is not so bad as just plain dangerous, I never overtake in a 30 (unless its a milk float) and rarely in a 40 but open road and derestricted you set your own limits.
