Land Rover Copy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just wondering what you Landrover owners thought of the IVECO MASSIVE (re badged santana).
It appears that Iveco have purchased santana.

We know its a series 3 modernised, i saw one at a show and had a good look in and out of it and it seems to have potential. Good interior, build quality and very powerfull engines too.
Nothing will ever overtake Landrover or replace it but if the price was right would you???

Depends on the price. If you are willing to pay for a Series III copy complete with cart springs all round and part-time 4WD you can't use on roads it might be for you, but for me there would have to be a very big price advantage over a Defender to put up with that. Actually, I'd never buy one simply because the configurator asked me which 'body tattoo' I wanted on my Massif. . . . .

It has leaf springs. If that alone is not enough to put you off then give one a try!

I actually prefer the interiors of the to the defender. They make much better use of the space.

I had a real good look round a Santana at one of the last shows...build quality seemed worse than LR's!!! Interior looked good but not as good as LR.
My 2 pennies worth.
