Will I fail my MOT with these?
Discussion
In readiness for some track work I have replaced the wheels, fitted wider tyres, done a little lowering and increased the offset on one of my cars but now my front wheels - well it's actually just the tyre is perhaps 2mm outside the arch - the wheels are actually inside but the shape of the tyres even though they are low profile is obviously slightly proud of the wheel face and this makes the tyre about 2mm outside the arch.
Do you think I'm likely to fail the next MOT?

tread outside the arch is a fail, part of the reason Euro modders stretch skinny tyres on wide wheels
Ah OK, that means I could be OK as I have no "tread" outside the arch - it's just the slightly rounded shape of the sidewall that protrudes and by such a tiny amount too.Edited by H2DaE on Wednesday 12th March 10:58
I think I'll drop down to either a 225 instead of 235 or a 35 instead of 40 when I next change tyres.
