I've had my eye on a lo-height trolley jack in Costco for a while, but it was steel and weighed a tonne!

I popped into Costco yesterday and found a very similar specced jack, but this time in Aluminium. so it only weights 22kg. But, the important bit is that is has a lowered saddle height of 89 mm!

I have just tried it under my car and I can confirm that it will reach to the front crossmember without having to lift the car first. biggrin

Obviously this depends on how low your car is, mine is running low but I can't allow for your 'grass-cutter' biggrin

It's very similar, but not identical, to a Sealey jack that currently retails for over twice the price at £160+ VAT, the Costco jack sells for £82.23 yes

Here are some pice:

Hope this is useful to someone.

You need to be a member to buy at Costco, and they charge a subscription.

Best bet is to find a friend locally who's already signed up.

No, not a special offer.

I have the 3 ton costco one, it's a brute of a thing. It goes under the Cerb no bother though. Were I to buy again, I'd get the one Tim points out, it's ideal.

I got a trolley jack for Christmas (i know I know) bloody heavy in the stocking it was too. Things is the jack is at least an inch to big to get anywhere near my car. It is now the single most usless thing in my garage, after me with a spanner, and that's saying something.

This thread is 4 months late for me!

Hi,

this is the jack I've got, had it for over a year now with no problems, gets under the Cerb a treat and the Skyline, even lifts the volvo with no issues. I like the large lifting plate and the fact that it is quiet wide, nice and stable. I bought it off of ebay.co.uk.

Cheers
Rich.

As per earlier thread the machine mart jack is available from a chap in Maidstone for £79.99 inc VAT if I recall correctly.

It is also sold in Argos now, so should feature on Father's Day ideas lists soon.
