On the hunt for a haf decent S2
Discussion
I bought mine a couple of months ago for £6400. I dont think that was cheap but it is a good solid car with a thick history file. Mine was avertised on TVR webmart. www.tvr-webmart.co.uk.
I was looking for an s2 but ended up with an S3 for 6k
It was very clean externally but the dash board needed a bit of attention. I have sorted this in 1 weekend and all for £30.00.
I am new to owning an S type but I believe that as long as the frame and outriggers, Engine and bodywork are in good condition then it is easy to get the car into good running order.
The interior can be sorted out pretty easily and there are alot of companies that can do it if you don't want to.

I found mine by checking Autotrader online at every opportunity. I also wanted an S2/3 but settled for an S1 as it was in such good condition (and I did look at some basket cases).
I know it sounds obvious but weigh up the cost of repairing a bad'un against paying a bit more for a sorted one (especially the chassis).
I may have to sell mine soon as I'm trying to move to a property in the country and the access road is not suitable to a low slung sports car. If you're interested I can let you know...
