Gallardo LP560

Anyone on here got their name down for the new Gallardo. Had a good look over it at the Geneva show 10 days ago and thought it looked excellent.

The guys in Geneva said that they will fit an attachment point on the front for Switzerland, whereas in Germany they will use stickers

but the Lambo guys said they thought the car looked better without plates


Do you think anyone will get one of those "Enzo" DVLA letter exempting the car from front plates?

I have changed my username from AMV8Vantage to LP560!

I hope that they get an Enzo style exemption as a front number plate will really ruin the look of the front end. They will have to sort it out quickly as I think the first UK cars will be here in a couple of months.

In speed camera and ANPR camera obsessed Britain?? Not a chance, especially when there will be so many more Gallardo's sold here vs the Enzo and there is a number plate fixing solution avalilable. The HR Owen Lambo guys at the show said UK cars would almost certainly come with a number plate holder.

I think a glossy sticker over that nice angular front probably has a good chance of confusing an APR camera

Evo mag quoted the approx price when released to be around £130k.

Do people think that this will be true, or is that a very conservative basic price ?

Anyone been told of approx del dates for speccing a car now ?

I've been told the base price is going to be around the £140k mark. There are a limited number of cars coming in this year and the first are due to arrive at the end of summer so first customer deliveries could be around September.

My dealer in CH tells me he is getting a demonstrator (spec chosen by Lamborghini) in c. June

Apparently the price is going to be £122k + vat before options although at the moment not sure of there will be any additional spec to the standard car
