I haven't reset one of the mpg readouts for the last 10,000 miles and it is showing 24.0 at the moment. That compares with my old petrol V8 at 17.3mpg. Mix of country roads and motorways mainly with a bit of town driving thrown in. Generally not hanging about too much eitherwink

Given the size of the tank, it gives a great range.

Getting an average of 19 - 21 ish combined.

I think the best i have i have seen so far when resetting it on the motorway was 26mpg

The problem is i cant help accelerating lol lol

Also i have noticed how much looser the engine is becoming, although it only just hit 3500 miles so i guess there is a long way to go?

I take it you need an Estate Car or 4X4 for boot space / passenger capabilities?

I love the RR its so spacious and comfortable especially since they have redesigned the suspension, the mpg isnt that great when you consider its a diesel but then again when you think about the weight of it i guess it could be worse.

Its a tough decision as the two cars are chalk and cheese in everyway other than they both have a boot and 5 seats.

The performance of the TDV8 is really good imo, its no c63 but its good. I guess it will come down to how much performance you want Monday to Friday?
