Duncan Cowper PH Driving Challenge

A while back a friend of mine Duncan Cowper set a time of 1:17 secs on the PH Driving Challenge Track.

He is building a new car at present and the new Hayabusa engine for it has a turbo from a Cosworth F1 car from the 1980's and a few other trick parts. It should make some really good power when it's finished.

Duncan would like to try and better the 1:17 time and thinks he can be a fair few secs, a few pics below are of the Busa engine with the turbo fitted and a few other goodies in the workshop that belongs to the engine builder..

All the cars you see are in for rebuilds etc and are not being broken

If the post is talking about the turbocharger itself, I doubt any of them are original as they were considered consumables when racing - In qualifing spec they would only last for one flying lap.

Hi the turbo on the hayabusa engine is rebuilt as new, with a brand new original exhaust housing and has anew trilobe left handed maram shaft .The turbo itself came from a GB one v6 1500cc F1 cosworth and in qualifying would run at about 5 bar of boost
