RS TURBO ENGINE RUNS FOR 5 sec only

My RS Turbo has been standing for 2 yrs
Ive just started to sort it out and put her on the road again.

She starts up runs on 2/3 cylinders for 5 sec and cuts out. If i apply the throttle this kills it too.

I havent got the intercooler pipe on that goes over the rocker but think that it should still run without that.

I took no 4 inj pipe off and no fuel is running through it.
Fuel is going into the pump from the tank and back out the return ok.

Any idea's anyone please???.

Wont work with any of the pipes that go from the airflow meter to the inlet manifold off its the way the injection system works.

Many years ago, had a starting problem similar to yours on an XR3i that turned out to be the ignition relay (located in the kick panel, think it was passanger side). Tried everthing and that was the last resort, sorted it though.

you need all pipes on. I very healthy engine MAY chugg for a short time but the very crued airflow meter needs to have all pipes connecte
