Dear All,

Many of you may have seen the recent posts regarding someone requiring supercars for a wedding hire service.
Well - they hope they have got a rather large list of super cars going along to: http://www.golflangdon.co.uk/location.html on Saturday morning (29th March), I was thinking..... with so many nice cars in one place - anyone else fancy coming along for a drive out afterwards?

The weather looks good (but don't shoot the messenger if it pee's down all day!!) = http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/dayforecast.as...

Regards

Ian

As I'm the photographer for the day, I'd be very happy to go for a little drive afterwards - and being local I know the roads too wink

Might be able to make it - what time?

I go mountain biking in Langdon Hills from time to time, but never really explored the roads. smile

I'll be bringing a TVR S3 if I can.

Hi All,

We will all be arriving at 8.30am!!
However, this is for the photo shoot - so guessing we should all
be done by 10.30am ish.

Depending on how many of us are up for a drive out after, will probably depend on where we go!!

Come and find me in the morning and we can all talk about it over coffee.
I've got a red Lamborghini Countach QV (reg C701 BYX).

See you all on Saturday

Ian

Hi

EVERYONE is welcome (apart from Ken Livingstone!!!).

But if you turn up on a skateboard you may have trouble keeping up.

Ian

We've got a whole car park section reserved just for the supercars so we can do a group shot when everyone is there together, might be an idea not to have too many extra's before the end of proceding's considering its a Golf club on a Saturday morning wink

Hi

Mmmm this sounds interesting, so what you are saying is any cars that are not having photos taken really don't want to be there untill 9:30...

This will be a great oppotuinity, this will be first blast for the new car.....

Is there a supercar paddock for genuine exotica and then another car park for hangers on? My hood needs attention, so I might just bring the shed if it looks at all like rain.

Hi Ian,

I doubt we can make it that early in the morning (due to other commitments rather than being a lazy arse!) but I'll text you and let you know if we meet up later on.

Cheers,

Ben

There isn't, just to be clear:

This is an active golf club & this is not a 'supercar meet' in the PH/social sense, but rather the cars are coming to the venue specifically for a photoshoot. Any cars not invited for the photoshoot will be parking up on private land (ie the golf club car park) and could cause an issue (I dont know how busy the club carpark gets on a Saturday morning) .... either way the shoot wont be finished by 9:30 as there are something like 50 cars to shoot starting around 8:30am. Probably more like midday!

So where do people who aren't part of the shoot park? Presumably the idea is to gather when the shoot has finished and go off for a hoon?

I'm afraid I've got very naff tyres and only 170hp to play with, so there's very little chance of me keeping up!

No idea TBH - I think it'll be suck-it-and-see on the day. If people want to come along to meet up for a drive there's always a chance there might not be space in the car park....... There are one or two local locations people could go to afterwards to meet up I think. I'm there solely to do photography so dont know about any other arrangements.

I will def be along for this, just as long as it isn't raining when I wake up.

Trackdemon - you wasn't going clockwise on the M25 yesterday afternoon was you? Spotted a Red NSX.

Dear All,

In a nut shell............

Everyone is welcome - Supercar, sports car, classic car or just enthusiast! If you are coming for the photo shoot - please turn up at the time you have been asked to (this part of things I have nothing to do with).

If you are NOT involved in the photo shoot, but want to come along for a drive out afterwards. Please come along late morning.

As for not keeping up - we won't be breaking any records, it's going to be quite tame for the first blast of the year.

Depending on where we head off to, depends on how many are up for it.
However, I have printed off 20 maps to be handed out.
They take us off towards Burnham (re-grouping at the 3 horse shoes pub just out side Burnham) then head off towards bradwell. back to Latchingdon stopping for a bite to eat, drink and a chat at the Huntsman and hounds pub in Althorne.

Post code for The Three Horse Shoes Pub is: CM3 6DP (re-grouping spot)
Post code for The Huntsman and Hounds pub: CM3 6BJ (Destination / bite to eat)

See you all there!

Regards

Ian
