Hey, can any of you shed light on why only 1 of my doors (the rear passenger side door) will not lock and unlock using the remote or the key in the door. I can only lock/ unlock it from inside and the deadlocks won't work for that door either.

The mechanism felt a bit stiff so I used some(copious amount) of WD40 and then the door did lock and unlock with the others as normal. The door was sligthly slower and lagged behind the others after 3/4 attempts and then stopped working again. Any ideas?

Thanks.

more wd40!!

I had same problem, sprayed wd through lock mechanism while opening and closing the lock, through the door handle when held in the open position, down edge of window, through keyhole, again while continually openning the interior door handle.

The place was covered with wd40 and it ran out of the door for ages but it cured the problem. mine too started slower and almost lazy sounding so i left it for a day and did it again, 6 myhs later its still working.

Quick update, sprayed loads of wd40 in, but no joy. Took the doorcard and weatherseal stuff off and manually cleaned up the solenoid, cables, checked the connexions etc. Put everything back but still didn't work. Sprayed more wd40, straw fell in door (d'oh!).

Next I checked the wires going into the door and found a broken wire. Quick bit of electrical insulating tape and voila, cl now works smile (although I'm now one wd40 straw short frown)
