I had a quick look under the girlfriends Focus and it had no undertray at all, this seemed odd on a modern car so i'm guessing it was knocked off at some point?

The car has twice now refused to budge off of the full mark on the petrol gauge but then started working again, this just a simple connection problem or is it a known problem with the sender?

Also finally, the keyfob for the central locking, if I replace the battery on this as there is only one key, will it need to be reprogrammed or will this still work fine?
we definitely need a second key for it.

Only the Focus diesels have an engine under-tray.

Faulty fuel sender card in the fuel tank may well be causing incorrect gauge readings.

Not 100% sure about battery replacement in key-fob. Will make enquiries.

CR2302 battery. You have about 15 seconds to change the battery before it needs re-programming.
