GT5 Time Trial

Give this a go.
London track forward's in a series1 Lotus Elise/tuned i think the car is cr94000.
there are only three time's posted with this track and car combo and i'm one of them.
No point's no table's unless you want to?
12 track's and 71 car's that 852 combination's should be enough to keep us going until the full game

I bought that Elise not 10 minutes ago, cost me 80,000 smackers.
Will give London a go, haven't had much practise in the Elise though.
One thing, are we allowed to do setups, if so is it limited to camber and stuff like that, or are we allowed to change the power/weight things as well.
Personally I think tinkering is ok, but power/weight must be left alone.

Not sure, I couldn't access the tune-up bit when I went on time trial, so maybe not.
Am I still ahead? My lap wasn't perfect, if you watch the replay I hit the wall in the penultimate corner.
I tried going minimum weight and full power in the Elise for one race, it was insane. Anything more than half-throttle and it was uncontrollable.
I think the set-up it gives you is about the best.

Just had a quick try, managed a 1.01.22. I was on a flyer on one of the laps, heading for a high 59 sec lap but clipped the barrier under the sanyo sign
. Still currently 42nd in the online rankings, not to bad for a 1st try. I see you 27th Scooby, good going.
I can see myself getting a bit obsessed with this.

I'm having a go but keep getting distracted trying enormous drifts round the second part of the S-bend
It's great this little 1-series, so playful yet so utterly predictable. I've done a 1.01.4 so far but lots of time still to find. Still can't get this bloody update to install though, so can't register it online.

Into the 59s on London now, I'm sure I can scrape a bit more off as I always seem to get one of the corners not quite right. Not sure if the ghost car is helping or hindering either.
So how are we all playing? I'm all driving aids off and manual trans, also I use accelerate and brake on the shoulder triggers with those clip on extensions nabbed off the front of a mag.

Got my time down to a 1.00.400, reckon there's about another second out there at least. This is driving aids off but using automatic transmission, so there could well be more to gain from switching to manual. I'm also doing things old skool stylee on the controller, X to accelerate [] to brake, D-pad to steer. I have a Logitech Driving Force as well, but don;t have the spare plugs at the mo to plug it in. Must get myself another 4-way adapter.

I have no driving aids but Auto, it doesn't appear to be working very well for me, I was much better in the Elise. I have the shoulder triggers too (PSM3 mag) but I don't use them because I think it makes it worse. I use both analogue sticks for driving.
I'm now up to 2nd in London with a 58.6 - but I think there is still at least 2 tenths of a second to find round there. I think quite a lot of people don't brake round the second corner, the first part of the fast S bend. This pushes you wide for the second part, and its easy to hit the wall. I touch the brakes so I get a better line through the second one, so its a bit quicker for the short stretch down to the next corner.
Getting the last corner spot on it absolutely vital too. You can't turn in too early or you clip the inside, so stay wide and brake late, then you can shoot out and not hit any walls
