I am toying with going a different route on my car, and just wanted to know what my 2nd Hand Vortech supercharger kit would be worth if I went in an alternative direction:

CAPA Vortech V2 SQ SC kit 6psi, with the following options
CAPA Self Contained Supercharger Lubrication System
CAPA Supercharger Oil Cooler Kit
CAPA Gilmer Belt system upgrade

The above has approx. 14k miles on it and was orginally fitted by Mark of Rapid GB whilst @ LSV.

Also available a set of Racetronix flow matched 42lb injectors

Can anyone give me a ball park on what this would be worth?

thats not a bad offer, I mean the bulk of installation costs is the tuning (which I do myself) and the labour (ditto)

400 notes, thats a grab the cash and run offer!

I doubt that you would get a significant amount for it as any buyer would need to install and tune it.

What are they new?

Monkfish were advertizing a second-hand s/c install for £4995 fitted.. which I thought was quite a lot, but there again that included labour and a map.

best to ask mark f at rapid on the price for refitting to another car? that will give you an idea of how much its worth?

fittings quite straightforward - maffless tune a bit harder ;-)

i thought about taking mine off to sell it easier but couldnt be bothered..... summers coming so i dont need to sell just yet! still loving it too much!

new Magnacharger kits around 3-3.5k without an intercooler iirc so for a 2nd hand unit with no warranty wouldn't imagine you'd get much over £800-1000. As I recall Mark and LSV did a batch of that supercharger you have installed for 2.5k all in - first 10 or so as a special deal. I also felt that the Monkfish unit was a bit pricy with such a short warranty offered. I'd have expected a price of 3-3.5k installed for theirs as a 2nd hand unit but like all things its only worth what someone will pay and as a seller what you're willing to let it go at.

Well my mate in NZ just got his vortec capa kit installed. Pre exhaust it was 280rwkw or 375bhp, nothing fancy, but roughly inline with entry level superchargers here. After a full exhaust this was retuned to 343rwkw or 460rwhp!
