My 306 is playing up. When I accelerate hard, usually up a hill, the engine seems to stutter twice in quick sucession, and then the engine diagnostic light comes on.

It feels like its hitting the rev limiter, but the revs are no where near the red line.

I've had the diagnostic light examined, and was told it was a fault with the electrics for the 2nd and 3rd cylinders. I then had the wiring loom for the injectors, off the back of the fuel rail, replaced with a recon part.

However, this has not solved the problem. I was thinking it may be a problem with the injectors themselves, perhaps they are clogged with the 10 years of crap that was in my fuel tank.

Cheers guys.

I've not had the car long, so I don't know. I bought it with MOT remaining, and it was okay then, but I will check all those things.

Cheers.

Check out the coil pack whilst you're there, sounds like that may be the culprit to me!

When my car did this I had the fault codes read and it turned out to be the MAP sensor that was playing up. But it did it intermittently at any rpms and at any load.
